INGREDIENTS:
2 x Turkey Merrylands
Ozpig Chicken Rub
METHOD:
- If you’re using a whole turkey, separate the thigh and leg from the turkey in one piece.
- Generously coat the Merrylands in Ozpig chicken rub and leave to rest for 10 minutes to bring them up to room temperature.
- Light the Ozpig with the Oven Smoker attachment on top and bring up to 275f (135c).
- Add a piece of cherry smoking wood and place the Merrylands in the smoker.
- Prepare a spray bottle with a salt brine spritz and spray the Merrylands every 45minutes or so.
- After about 3 hours, the Merrylands should be ready when the internal temperature reaches 165f or 74c.
- Perfect to eat with a fresh salad, in tacos or simply on their own!
