INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp plain flour
1½ cups thickened cream
½ tsp white pepper
¼ tsp garlic salt
½ tsp onion powder
1 cup tasty cheese
1½ cup macaroni
Method:
- Fire up your Ozpig and get the fire cranking!
- Bring pot of water to the boil (make sure you add a pinch of salt!).
- Once water is boiling, add macaroni.
- In a 2nd (shallow) pan, place it onto an OzPig Flat Iron BBQ plate (this ensures consistent heat across pan surface).
- Add butter and flour then mix until butter is melted and combined.
- Add cream and continue stirring.
- Add pepper, garlic salt and onion powder.
- Keep stirring and once sauce starts thickening up, remove from heat and add cheese.
- Stir with spatula until cheese melts (Sauce will be quite thick at this point).
- Once macaroni is cooked, drain water and then toss immediately into the cheese sauce (The residual water on the pasta will help thin down the cheese sauce for the perfect oozy cheesy consistency).
- Dust with Ozpig Pork rub for that extra punch of flavour!
