Ingredients
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 pieces whole star anise
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tablespoon ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder
- Salt to taste
- Lemon juice
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients into a bowl, add salt and lemon juice to taste.
- Rub marinade into the meat. Cover and let it marinate for about half an hour.
- After meat is marinated, grill meat in your Ozpig until meat is cooked through and the sugar in the marinade has caramelised.
